YL Grounding Essential Oil Blend
I enjoy sharing my experiences and love for essential oils. The debate almost always comes up about which oils are best. This is really a hard question as we all have different perspectives on what makes an essential oil good, whether it is price, ethics and or the quality of the oils. The best advice is to do your research and make that decision yourself.
Essential oils have been used as medicine and perfume for thousands of years.
The FDA and big pharma don’t support alternative medicines (which used to be primary medicine), frankly they do not yield large financial returns as do pharmaceuticals.
Unfortunately then, no funding is spent on researching the health benefits of essential oils or other natural medicines, that have great testimonies to their effectiveness (also not well publicized).
There is extensive documentation going back to 1500 B.C. about the benefits of essential oils.
From the research that I have done and some serendipity sprinkled in, my choice for my family is to use Young Living Essential oils and blends. I love their seed to seal promise that they choose only the very best seeds and follow this process right through distillation until the oil is sealed in the bottle, ready for transportation.
Quick tips when sourcing essential oils:
- Ensure the bottle does not have an expiration date on it. Oils are like wine they get better with age, meaning they become more potent over time. If the bottle has an expiration, likely it has a carrier oil like olive or avocado which will get rancid over time as they are vegetable based and not essential oils.
- Be aware that in Canada only 5% of the bottles contents is required to be essential oil for the company to legally state this is 100% pure essential oil. In other words the bottle is only required to have 5% essential oil and the rest can be a carrier oil. You can see how misleading that is. Unfortunately when you are not getting the 100% essential oil you are unable to realize the amazing benefits, which is why some people don’t believe in essential oils for health care and sickness prevention.
- Avoid Fragrance oils which are generally synthetic and not plant based therefore are not true botanical oils.
- Essential oils should be stored in amber or dark glass, away from heat and light.
- Essential oils can be used in four ways; Aromatically, topically, internally and externally. Whichever way you would like to use essential oils, do some research because as much as essential oils can heal they are also potent enough to hurt. Of course special care is needed around children although most oils are completely safe for children when administered by an adult.
Grounding Blend Essential Oil
Besides the amazing smell of this blend it has a fantastic ability to be exactly what its called..Grounding! I tend to have a lot of ideas and have trouble focusing enough on one, before I move on to another. Its great to have ideas but super frustrating when I cannot seem to move them past the ideas stage!
I usually try out a new oil on the bottom of my feet before I go to bed. After applying the Grounding blend EO, I awoke the next morning immediately feeling ready to tackle file folders, a job I had long been avoiding.
I knew this was a winner for me. It may also be for you too.
